Acetal/POM Machining Overview
Acetal or POM is a very common and widely used engineering plastic. It shows good mechanical properties, self lubricating, good machinability, and good dimensional stability. This material do not need extra preprocess when machining it. Also the carbide bit is recommended and should always kees bit sharp.

Acetal/POM Heat Treatment
Material | Heating | Keeping | Cooling |
Acetal | 3h heating to 90℃, then 3h heating to 155℃ | 1h/10mm thickness | cooling to 40℃ at speed of 20℃/h |
