PET Plastic

Polyethylene terephthalate

PET, or Polyethylene Terephthalate, is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic known for its exceptional balance of mechanical properties and machinability. As a semi-crystalline material, PET offers remarkable wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction. Notably, PET exhibits superior wear performance compared to POM (Acetal), making it the preferred choice for applications involving continuous motion and friction. It runs quieter than many other engineering plastics and generates less heat during operation. Additionally, PET boasts excellent dimensional stability and low moisture absorption, allowing it to maintain tight tolerances and precise geometries even in fluctuating environmental conditions, making it ideal for machining high-precision components.

We supply high-quality PET in both plates (sheets) and rods, available in white and black color options. This versatile material is widely used across various industries. In mechanical engineering, PET is the material of choice for wear strips, guide rails, chain guides, and cam profiles due to its self-lubricating properties. It is also commonly used in the food processing industry for cutting boards and conveyor components, as well as in the automotive sector for bushings, bearings, and wear pads where long-lasting performance and reliability are critical.

PET Materials
PET white rod and sheet

PET White

This white PET is a high-performance material known for its exceptional wear resistance and low coefficient of friction, offering superior durability in sliding applications compared to materials like POM.

PET black rod and sheet

PET Black

Black PET is produced by adding colorant to the natural material. It retains all the excellent properties of standard white PET and the black variant is its significantly enhanced UV resistance.
